Daily Agony of Our Mental Slavery
People often tell me to
take a break, to take some time off to myself and have some fun, that I should
get out more since I’m always at school or locked in my room studying. What
they don’t know is that I sometimes have a really hard time keeping my grades
up or getting them to where I want them and well, this reminds me of something
I heard someone say once “The stars in the sky might not even exist anymore… It
takes so much time for the light to get here.” –Unknown
By what I wrote above I mean that,
people make things seem a lot easier than they really are. I see how people say
that school is easy, and how getting an A on a killer test is no big deal that
anyone could do it; the truth is that it takes time and dedication because if
it didn’t, it wouldn’t matter. If there’s a feeling I love, is the one you get
after studying really hard for a test and passing with an A or even a B. This
is something I refuse to give up on, everyone should. My aspirations in life
won’t let me lower my grades, nor giving up on maintaining them.
Studying isn’t the only thing there is
to life but knowing how hard things are these days, and how much school
matters, makes me want to make it in this world and be successful enough to
maintain my family and have a stable home even with my ambition of wanting to
know everything the world holds for us to know. I don’t want to study hard
every day of my life just to become a money making machine, I want to study to
make this world a better place for those who stay here inhabiting it, to make a
change to the social agony our society goes through every day and the only way
I can see that change happening is by studying..
