1. M. White: Father, plays chess with his son. Seem
like a caring hard working man.
2. Mrs. White: Mr. White’s
wife, mother and kind loving woman.
3. Herbert White: Mr. and Mrs. White’s son. Welled
mannered and hardworking kid.
b. Secondary:
1. Sergeant-Mayor Morris: Man that has gone through a
lot. Adventurous. Gave Mr. White the paw.
2. Man: Well dressed. Hesitated to come into the
house, told the family the bad news.

Setting
a. England
- The White’s house: a small
parlor in laburnum villa.
D.
Summary:
Sergeant-Mayor Morris visits the White family and
gives them the monkey’s paw. Mr. White wishes for two hundred pounds and the
paw takes his son away in return. Mrs. White can’t take the pain anymore and
wishes his son back to life, but Mr. White knew that something bad was going to
happen so he wishes away.
E.
Conflict
a. The day after Mr. White wishes for the two hundred
pounds, a man comes to his house with the money but gives them the sad news
about his son dying. He figures out that it was because of the paw and that
they couldn’t use it any more.
F.
Solution:
a. After Mrs. White wishes his son back, and he knocks
at the door, Mr. White wishes him away using their third and last wish.

Symbols:
a. Monkey’s Paw: Item that grants
wishes but takes something in return.

Climax:
a. Mrs. White wishes his son to life and Herbert
knocks at the door. Just when she’s going to open the door Mr. White wishes him
away.
I.
Point of view:
a. It was a great story. It teaches us to be grateful
with what we have cause if we don’t appreciate it can be taken away from us in
any moment.
